2025 Transition to Five Focus Areas for Grants

As we continue to grow and evolve as an organization, we are excited to share an important transition that will align us more closely with the global Impact 100 community while maintaining our steadfast commitment to making a transformative difference in Middle Tennessee. Moving forward, our grant-making will align with the 5 focus areas defined by Impact 100 Global: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Preservation & Recreation, Preservation, Family, and Health & Wellness. These focus areas provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the diverse needs of our community. Sign up for the Focus Area Committee that aligns with your philanthropic passion and support the work of the organizations in the town that you love.

Why the Change?

Since our inception in 2014, Impact100 Nashville has funded projects that break the cycle. Now, our overarching theme is Transformation and Innovation. By adopting the global framework, we’re not only enhancing our alignment with the broader Impact 100 network but also ensuring our grants address critical areas in a focused and strategic manner. This alignment allows us to:

  • Broaden our perspective and learn from the best practices of other chapters.
  • Attract innovative projects that create sustainable, high-impact solutions.
  • Further engage our members by providing clear, strategic focus areas that align with their philanthropic goals.

Our Overarching Theme: Transformation and Innovation

While we’re embracing these focus areas, our guiding theme remains “Transformation and Innovation.” Each grant we award will continue to emphasize visionary projects that bring about meaningful change. Whether it’s fostering artistic expression, improving educational outcomes, protecting our environment, strengthening families, or enhancing community health, our funding will drive impactful and creative solutions.

Understanding the 5 Focus Areas

  • Arts & Culture: Projects that cultivate, develop, and enhance the cultural and artistic experiences in our community.
  • Education: Initiatives that advance learning opportunities, literacy, and academic success for people of all ages.
  • Environment, Preservation & Recreation: Programs that promote conservation, environmental education, and the sustainable use of resources.
  • Family: Services and programs that strengthen and support families, including housing, childcare, and crisis intervention.
  • Health & Wellness: Efforts to improve physical and mental health, access to care, and wellness education.

Imagine this: one woman, one vote, $1,000 — multiplied by 100. That’s Impact100. We unite women to pool their resources and award $100,000 grants to local nonprofits through a competitive grant process. Our focus is on addressing critical needs in five areas: arts, education, environment, family, and health. As a member, I am not just donating; I am part of a community that’s making life-changing differences in Greater Nashville.

Together, we will continue to transform lives and create innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our community. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
