VOTING EVENT RECAP
On Thursday, November 3, Impact100 Nashville members gathered at Studio Bank in Franklin to listen to presentations by the eight nonprofit grant applicant semi-finalists and select the four receiving a 2022 grant. Special thanks to our event sponsor Studio Bank of Franklin who provided not only the space but also the food and beverage as well as AV support.
Members voted to award $250,000 to four grant recipients in two categories:  For the category "Ending the Cycle", nonprofits must demonstrate how they end a debilitating social cycle such as addiction, homelessness, infant mortality, incarceration, etc. Two $100,000 grants were awarded in this category.  $25,000 each was awarded in the "Small and New" category.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!

Congratulations to all the organizations that participated in the application process.  Here is a little about each winner and how they will use our grant money to impact their communities:

  • The Community Resource Center provides essential hygiene supplies to Middle Tennessee’s most vulnerable citizens both during times of disaster and ongoing critical need.  The $100,000 grant will be used to fund the first of its kind in the US mobile hygiene pantry that will provide a personalized shopping experience directly to communities in need of hygiene products.

  • Crossroads Campus transforms lives by creating opportunities for individuals facing poverty and homelessness to care for dogs and cats that are available for adoption. The $100,000 grant award will fund a grooming suite and training center for young adults.

  • BeWell in School teaches mindfulness and movement-based stress reduction in schools and communities.   BeWell applied for a $25,000 grant to fund personnel to conduct research into the impact of their school mindfulness programs.

  • Homeland Heart Birth & Wellness Collective seeks to create a safe space and improve birth outcomes for women, infants and families of color.  The $25,000 grant will be used to train additional Black doulas in the target communities.

Join us on November 29 at the Check Signing Celebration

We will present checks to the four grant recipients on November 29 – the National Day of Giving.  We hope you will join us for a brief ceremony and celebration, from 11:30 am to 1 pm on the rooftop at City Lights, 20 Rutledge Ave, Nashville. Please let us know if you will be attending by clicking HERE  Please wear black for photos.

2023 Membership is Upon Us

In addition to awarding our 2022 grants on November 3, we also kicked off our new membership cycle for 2023.  We welcomed six new members that evening, and several dozen Evergreen members before the event began.  Our goal for 2023 is to award $500,000 in grant money – FIVE $100,000 transformational grants.  That means we need 500 women to commit.  Invite your network so we can reach our goal together.
