Dear Impact100 Nashville Members:

We did it!  We not only reached our 2021 goal of 201 members – we achieved 202 members!  That means we will be awarding two $101,000 grants to deserving non-profits in Nashville for the first time in our history.

Thank you to all of you who helped reach this goal by inviting your network of generous women!

Welcome to our 80 returning members – and thank you for your loyalty and commitment.

A special welcome to the 122 brand new 2021 members, including the 52 new members who joined this year as a result of the generosity of a donor who sponsored the 52 ATHENA 2021 Award Nominees as new members of Impact100.  We are thrilled to welcome these amazing women to Impact100 Nashville.

The 202 amazing women who make up our diverse membership come from all walks of life, representing a myriad of careers, background, neighborhoods, birthplaces, ethnicities, and interests.  The cohesiveness of purpose is what makes us special; our diversity makes us interesting and powerful.
New Member Orientation Dates:

We are launching a new program to welcome new members and orient them to our purpose and mission, annual events, and engagement opportunities.  You can register below:
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

 Introducing Easy Giving Option.

For all 2021 members, consider committing to 2022 membership by enrolling in our new Easy Giving program, which breaks down your annual payment into manageable monthly payments beginning now.  If you join in August, pay $120 per month and be fully paid by the end of our membership drive on May 31, 2022.  Mention this opportunity to your friends and family who were unable to join this year.  It’s a great way to make membership more affordable.  To enroll in the Easy Giving option, contact finance@nashville.impact100council.org

The deadline for Grant Letters of Intent (LOI) has passed.  Impact100 Nashville received a total of 57 LOIs.  The Grants Review Committee is now engaged in reviewing and scoring the LOIs to determine which non-profits will be invited to submit a full grant proposal.  Thank you to new and returning members who volunteered for the grants committee – our most important and significant work.

Grant Recipient Volunteer Opportunities for Impact100 Nashville members.

Many of our members have asked what volunteer opportunities exist among our former grant recipients.  Members join Impact100 Nashville to make a difference in the community, and would particularly like to serve the organizations that were chosen by our members to receive our grants.  We’ve assembled a list of those activities that were submitted by the non-profits.  Please contact the organization directly to learn more or to sign up to volunteer, or reach out to communityliaison@nashville.impact100council.org

The Oasis Center was a 2018 Recipient of a $28,500 grant.

Volunteer Needs:
Snack Packs: During the day, Oasis Center opens our doors to young people ages 18- 24 who are experiencing homelessness. When young people enter our doors, they have a place to take a warm shower, do a load of laundry, have a warm meal, and most importantly, they have a place they trust to seek the resources they need.
These snack packs provide much needed nourishment for our young people who are experiencing homelessness when they can’t get to our Outreach Center.
Common snacks include individually packaged items such as protein bars, nuts, beef jerky, applesauce, raisins, yogurt raisins, pretzels, trail mix, fruit snacks, gallon-sized ziploc bags.

Groups can organize a donation drive and assemble bags at your location, or we would love to have
you come to Oasis Center and assemble the bags and get a tour of the agency.

Lunches
During the day, Oasis Center opens our doors to young people ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness.  We try to provide perishable lunches twice a week for young people to take with them.

How does it work?
1. Sign up as an individual, family, group, or organization to sponsor a night. https://signup.com/go/jxTJrff

 2. Make 20 lunches packaged individually. Lunches can include:

Sandwich Fruit
Chips
Beef Jerky
Dessert
Protein Bar
Drink
Any other non-perishable item

3.  Drop off lunches at Oasis Center at our front desk that day between 9:30 and 3:00 p.m. or make arrangements with Dana (contact information below).

Renewal House was a 2017 Recipient of a $25,000 grant

Volunteer Needs:
Support (Spring and Fall)
Renewal House hosts fundraising events throughout the year and looks for volunteers to help with set-up, break-down, event logistics, and committee participation. Our annual fundraiser, Renewal House Thanksgiving, is held in November.

Campus Cleanup (Seasonal)
Renewal House has seasonal volunteer opportunities to help with the maintenance of our campus grounds. Volunteer groups of 10 to 20 people are needed for planting flowers, weeding, watering, cutting shrubs, and yard cleanup. We ask that corporate groups consider providing the funding or supplies to support the activity (e.g. purchasing mulch for the flowerbeds or bringing trash bags for cleanup).
Committee Support (Ongoing)
Renewal House has several committees that meet throughout the year. Each committee seeks volunteers that are willing to provide their professional experience and are looking to develop their leadership skills. Committees include: ● Development and Community Relations ● Facilities and Technology ● Personnel Committee
General Office Support (Ongoing)
Renewal House has an ongoing need for general office support to help with filing, copying, mailing, data entry, organizing, and making phone calls. Volunteers are accepted on an individual basis and, because this is an ongoing opportunity, prospective volunteers are asked to complete a background check.
Host a Party
Renewal House invites groups to sponsor and plan activities throughout the year. A volunteer group may host an entire event or share with another volunteer group. A party might consist of 3 to 4 activities for mothers and their children (ages: toddler to 10 years old), food or snacks, and other festive treats. Volunteer groups are asked to purchase the food and the supplies needed for proposed activities.
Host a Collection Drive
Organize a collection drive (ex. diaper drive or baby wipe drive) with your organization/group to supply items needed to serve our families. A Wish List for priority items will be provided prior to the drive.

Contact Lauren Roberts at lroberts@RenewalHouse.org or call 615-255-5222, extension 100.

Retrieving Independence was the 2016 Recipient of a $21,500 grant

Our dogs are trained in local TN prisons, so we are always in need of volunteers to take them out into public to practice what they are learning (doctor offices, restaurants, parks,etc.). Below is a link to our website that details the opportunities and our volunteer application. We offer extensive training, so for folks who have dogs at home, it’s like getting access to free dog training that they can use with their own pets too.
