BOARD NOTES
The new Impact100 Nashville Board of Directors held its annual strategic planning meeting on January 10. We are so excited about our 2022 growth and hoping for continued growth in 2023! While philanthropy will always be at the heart of what we do, we also want to create events throughout the year to engage our membership and support each of you in any way we can. We have several new initiatives that will be coming soon to further that desire, but we need your help.
We are EMPHATICALLY requesting that each of you, whether you are new or a returning member, take a few minutes (we promise) to complete the brand new Member Pulse.

Your responses will help the board better learn the wishes and needs of our membership so we can sculpt relevant events and programs throughout the year. Our goal is to have a full year calendar out to everyone by early February. No matter how you prefer to engage with Impact100 Nashville throughout the year, complete this survey to help us continue to grow our IMPACT.

2023 Membership Drive is Officially ON
to Achieve our 2023 Grant Goal of $425,000 by May

Does it sometimes feel that we talk about the need to bring in new members a lot?  You’re right, we do.  And that’s because the amount of grant money we can award and the related impact we have on the greater Nashville community depends entirely on the number of members we attract to Impact100 Nashville.  Impact100 Nashville exists to empower women to award large grants that transform lives. We are women from all walks of life who have come together to make a collective and significant difference in our community. Each us of is responsible for helping grow our impact by talking to our friends, neighbors and business network.  If you need help with the messaging to your network, we have email templates we can send you to help.

We set an ambitious goal to reach or exceed 425 members awarding $425,000 this year.   If each of us pays our membership fee in 2023 and brings in one new member we will achieve the goal.  Let’s do it!

You are also encouraged to make an extra donation if you can.  An extra $100 helps run our organization and events.  Last year 50% of our members became PLUS members by giving an additional amount over their $1000 grant donation. We hope you’ll consider becoming a PLUS member.

Don’t forget that membership in Impact100 Nashville can be painless through our Easy Pay monthly installment program.
If you are interested in paying your 2023 $1000 annual contribution in installments, reach out to Tina Percy at

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITES

Corporate Sponsorship has grown tremendously through the efforts of Janet Walls and many of our members who have reached out to their companies to ask about sponsoring Impact100 Nashville.  In 2022, the funds provided by Corporate Sponsorships paid for our membership and grants software, some events, public relations support and promotional items.

The new chair is Michele Nanna, who is passionate about achieving an increased goal.  How can you help?  Think about these questions and reach out to Michele at sponsorship@nashville.impact100council.org to start a conversation and collaboration.

  • Do you know about our sponsorship model?

  • Would your company be interested in supporting our mission?

  • Would you be interested in your company paying for your membership?

  • Would you like to be recognized for helping to find our first $15,000 sponsor?

  • Would you like to engage your network of friends, family and colleagues?

  • Would you like to be part of the new Corporate Sponsorship Committee?

Welcome to Humana, our first
$10,000 Corporate Sponsor!

We are thrilled to announce Impact100 Nashville’s first $10,000 level sponsor, Humana.  With their $10,000 sponsorship, Humana will receive membership for four designees of the organization.  We look forward to welcoming those women to Impact100 Nashville!

We asked Humana about why they chose to become a corporate sponsor for Impact100 Nashville:

"Humana is aligned with Impact100 Nashville’s mission of helping non-profit organizations that seek to end the cycle of debilitating conditions like hunger, homelessness, and poverty. The funds raised by Impact100 Nashville women are providing meaningful assistance to people and communities in the Nashville area."

For information, contact Jill Pepper, Director, Large Group Sales and Retention: JPepper@humana.com

Impact100 Nashville looks forward to partnering with Humana and their new Impact members in the next year.

2021 GRANT RECIPIENT TENNESSEE KIDS BELONG
SUBMITS FINAL IMPACT REPORT FROM $102,000 GRANT

In 2021, Tennessee Kids Belong (TKB) received our $102,000 grant with the intention of using the funds to develop marketing and awareness to help children find a forever home before aging out of foster care. The specific plan for using the funds was to release video recordings of children nearing the age limit for foster care to inform the community of the need for these children to be adopted.

The entire $102,000 was used for the stated purposes with the following results.

  • 91 kids filmed (Videos from November shoot at the Nashville Zoo are still in production and recruitment for these kids will start as soon as those are done)

  • 34 of the kids have already been placed in an adoptive home!

  • 1247 inquiries for a child came in on the Tennessee Kids Belong website! (Jan 1 – December 15th)

  • TKB Community Engagement work has resulted in 200+ Faith Communities and 458 Foster Friendly Businesses that will now be helping recruit for children and showcasing videos to the community and customers.

    Now that’s an IMPACT!
