Dear Friends,

As we finish another year, let’s take a minute to think about why we’re all members of Impact100. Why do we choose to be part of this organization?

What I really want to know is – what gets you excited and makes you committed to philanthropy? The reason I ask is because I know that we all have a particular cause, problem, or vision that inspires us. As we embark on our collective giving journey for 2025 I have BIG news to share. Our Board is planning new programming, events, and focus for all of us to enjoy and we can’t wait to hear what you think.

Now, remember I asked you about your passion?

This is where the big news comes in. We are going to weave our 5 Focus Areas for Grants into all of our membership programming. Those five areas are:

  1. Environment, Preservation & Recreation
  2. Family
  3. Education
  4. Arts & Culture
  5. Health & Wellness

There is so much opportunity to gather and support our work in 2025!

A special thank you to all our Board of Directors.

I extend a special thank you to all those who are finishing their service in 2024 -- Beth Johnson, Rahwa Mehari, Tina Percy and Janet Walls. We also appreciate Jill Pepper becoming Sponsorship Chair, after serving as our Membership Chair.

Continuing to serve in 2025 are:

  • Michele Herlein, Legacy Chair
  • Jill Pepper, Sponsorship Chair
  • Kristen Phillips, Grants Chair
  • Melissa Russell, Data Analytics Chair
  • Katherine Terrell, Marketing Chair
  • Tara Water, Board Secretary

And please join me in welcoming our new 2025 Board of Director members:

  • Prerna Gupta, Community Liaison
  • Nancy Lamberton, Membership Chair
  • Brooke Trusley, Finance Chair

I’m excited to be continuing on the Impact100 Nashville Board of Directors this year, serving a second year as President. Please reach out to any one of us with questions or to get more involved. You can find our contact information on the website here.

I look forward to working with each of you to make an even greater IMPACT in 2025.

We expand our impact by growing our membership, which means we can give more grants to qualified non-profits. Please help us by renewing your membership, and inviting your network to join us.

Wishing you and your families a safe and healthy New Year, and I look forward to serving you

Sincerely,
Joanne Sowell
President of the Board

2024 Year in Review

  • We had 218 members this year allowing us to award four grants totaling $218,000, and we’ve exceeded $1.2M in total grant dollars awarded since our inception.
  • We celebrated our 10th anniversary all year long. Ten years of making an impact and we couldn’t do it without each of you! And on top of all this, we’re part of a larger network, Impact100 Global, that has collectively given away almost $160 million and has over 76 chapters.

5 Focus Areas for Grants

This year we will align with Impact100 Global and form Five Focus Areas for grants into all of our membership programming.

Through your participation on a Focus Area Committee, thoughtful voting, and engagement, you will help ensure our grants are awarded to the most deserving projects. We will host information sessions to discuss these changes, answer your questions, and gather your input on how best to move forward together.
